What started as a small produce business in Toronto has grown into a well-loved independent grocery chain with locations in Sharon, Newmarket, Uxbridge, and Tottenham. We’re currently looking for a Full Time Bakery Clerk to join our Tottenham team. If you love food, enjoy working with people, and like staying busy, you’ll probably find that time flies in this role. There’s always something to learn and someone to help — whether that’s preparing fresh products, keeping displays looking beautiful, or helping a customer choose the perfect item for dinner. This position offers approximately 30-44 hours per week, with a mix of days, evenings, and weekends. We’re looking for someone with full year-round availability, as we are hiring for a long-term role rather than seasonal work. The expected hourly compensation for this position is $17.60 to $19.00 per hour, depending on experience and aligned with our standardized and transparent compensation scale. Team members may also become eligible for our benefits program after three months of employment. One of the things we’re most proud of at Vince’s is our training and development. We provide thorough orientation and hands-on training in food safety, department standards, customer service, inventory control, and food knowledge. We pride ourselves on fresh departments such as produce, bakery, meat and deli. The Vince brothers began the business in 1956. Upon Bob Vince’s passing the business was left to his daughter Carol, who ultimately sold the business to Carmen Trimarchi and his partner Mario Testa. Since 1986, the business has grown, we had partnership changes along the way with Mario exiting after more than 15 years, Brian Johns joining the team during our expansion years as well for just over 15 years, and Giancarlo Trimarchi joining his father as a managing partner in the business. All of this was built on our reputation for being the best at fresh produce and our accompanying fresh departments. Vince’s Market is operated today by Carmen, and his son, Giancarlo, with the help of their management team and dedicated staff.
