Job summary

The Warehouse Associate has a key role in ensuring that products are received, verified, stored, and transported to the sales floor or in the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves constant handling of merchandise that varies in weight from light to heavy throughout the shift.

Responsibilities:

• Greet, assist and thank customers (by name where possible) in a friendly, courteous manner.
• Completing pick list in both the warehouse and sea cans.
• Comfortable with technology, shelf capacities, and locating system.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well structured environment where all items are stored properly and can be located with ease.
• Accountable to proper presentation standards.
• Leave warehouse aisles swept, tidy, and free of all debris.
• Maintain a professional appearance (uniform, hygiene, grooming and name tag)
• Follow company, store and department policies
• Follow store health & safety program and observe provincial occupational health and safety regulations; report any observed or potential hazards immediately
• Participate in meetings and all training as required.
• Complete other tasks as required.

Requirements / Skills

• Physically fit – ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be available for weekend shifts.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to keep pace in a fast-moving work environment
• Very comfortable with technology
• Ability to complete detail-oriented retail tasks according to instructions and to demonstrate responsibility for outcomes
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment that provides assistance and support to co-workers to achieve common goals
• Positive attitude, punctuality and solid work ethic
