General Clerk/Cashier

We are hiring for a General Clerk/Cashier to work in various departments our Lougheed PriceSmart Foods location in Burnaby, BC. Departments include grocery, front-end, meat and receiving. Open morning availability is preferred. Shifts can start as early as 6:00am. You will be responsible for: Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members. Operating a cash register. Sharing product knowledge with customers. Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented. Ensuring only the freshest products are displayed. Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience. Cleaning equipment and work area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment. Using a variety of equipment, including knives. You have: A passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service. A strong work ethic and “let’s get it done” attitude. Integrity, enthusiasm, and willingness to Go the Extra Mile. Retail customer service experience (considered an asset). Fluent in Mandarin and/or Cantonese (considered an asset). You will be responsible for operating a cash register, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a well-stocked and clean department. Additionally, you will share product knowledge with customers and assist with various departmental tasks including grocery, meat, and receiving.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for food and customer service. While not required, retail experience and fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese are considered assets.
