Responsibilities Tasks Operate cash register Process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments Scan items Receive payment for goods or services Calculate daily/shift payments received and reconcile with total sales Suggestive selling Stock shelves and clean counter area Greet customers Wrap or place merchandise in bags Provide customer service Monitor all entrances and exits, request proof of payment when necessary Participate in promotional activities Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol or tobacco products Additional information Personal suitability Accurate Flexibility Team player Reliability Dependability

The cashier is responsible for processing customer payments, operating the cash register, and reconciling daily sales. Additional duties include stocking shelves, greeting customers, and verifying age for restricted products.

Candidates must have a secondary school graduation certificate and be reliable team players. No prior experience is required as training will be provided.
