Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Retail service establishment. Jewellery store. Tasks: Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.). Assign sales workers to duties. Order merchandise. Sell merchandise. Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters. Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages. Organize and maintain inventory. Set precious and semi-precious stones in jewellery mountings. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Art or fashion design experience: Accessories. Jewellery. Area of specialization: Retail store.
