Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Retail Operations Specialist, Pharmacy on a temporary basis for 6 months on our Pharmacy team. This position is a remote opportunity and will be based in Western Canada. This role requires approximately 50% travel across Alberta and Manitoba. This role supports approximately 70 x Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) pharmacies by driving operational excellence through store consultations, performance analysis, program implementation, merchandising standards, regulatory compliance, new pharmacy projects, and strategic recommendations that enhance profitability, customer experience, and overall pharmacy performance. What you’ll do: Assess pharmacy performance through store visits, scorecards, surveys, and operational reporting to identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, productivity, inventory management, customer experience, and compliance. Analyze results, develop corrective action plans for each pharmacy, and hold store managers accountable for implementing operational improvements and driving sustainable business performance. Support retail pharmacy managers in driving sales, margin growth, merchandising standards, and marketing program execution through planogram implementation, store layouts, renovations, and new store openings. Coordinate pharmacy program rollouts, training, and critical-path activities while ensuring stores remain compliant, operationally ready, and effectively promote professional services and new initiatives. Who you’ll work with: The Team: You will work closely with Pharmacy Managers and Operations Managers and will report into the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Operations. This team fosters a collaborative, customer-focused culture with a strong emphasis on relationship building, communication, employee development, and service excellence, enabling them to provide exceptional support to local Co-ops. The Collaborators: You will work closely with cross-functional teams within the Consumer Products business unit and collaborate across the organization, partnering with Zone Human Resources teams, Retail Department Managers, local Co-operative managers, and retail employees to drive operational success and deliver exceptional support to local Co-ops. Who you are: You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and: Have 6-9 years of progressive responsibility in Retail, Sales, Marketing or Pharmaceutical industries. Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, or a related field (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered). Pharmacy Certificate or Diploma is considered an asset.
