They are specialists in garment alterations of all types including coats, suits, blazers, dresses and more. To guarantee the highest quality of customer satisfaction, our seamstresses/ seamsters carry out all garment fittings making recommendations and ensuring that the appropriate alterations are done to achieve the best fit possible. The ability to use an industrial sewing machine is required. * Perform and complete alterations and repair garments according to clients? requests according to company's guidelines and service standards * Provide sound advice on the product, calculating turn around times to ensure customers' expectations are met * Press garments as necessary * Follow quality control guidelines and garment inspection * Ensure every request is responded to in a timely manner * Complete any rush orders, special requests and escalated situations * Maintain an accurate record of alterations completed, utilizing the tools provided * Cultivate customer relationships to create loyalty and foster brand ambassadors * Resolve alterations customer service issues or complaints and escalate unresolved situations as appropriate * Ensure preventative maintenance of equipment and report any damage or broken equipment immediately * Ensure all supplies are available at all times *Experience* * Strong knowledge of garment fitting, fabrics, styling, manufacturing techniques, garment construction and men?s suiting * Must have at least 2-3 years sewing experience * Familiar with SINGLE NEEDLE, SERGER, COVERSTITCH industrial sewing machines * Solid understanding of garment construction and production processes * Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision * Strong problem solving and decision-making skills * Good with hands; organized, responsible and dependable *Pay*: $20-30 + commission based on knowledge, experience, and performance *Job Type*: 30 ? 40 hours/week, including Saturdays *Vacation*: Two weeks? vacation after 1 year of full-time hours *Language*: Fluent in English *Location: *Any of our locations on the North Shore and in Vancouver Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Benefits: * Extended health care * Life insurance Work Location: In person
