Assistant Store Manager (Team Lead) About Us Cannabis NB is New Brunswick’s trusted retailer for the responsible, safe, and educational delivery of cannabis products across the province. Our Mission: To provide access to quality-assured products while empowering customers through meaningful conversations and accurate information. Our Mandate: To support public education and harm reduction by promoting socially responsible cannabis use across the province. We are seeking a Team Lead that will be a key player in driving sales, delivering outstanding customer service, and supporting the Store Manager in daily operations in order to achieve operational objectives. The Team Lead will help coach, lead, and inspire the team to meet goals and uphold our brand mission, vision, values and pillars of Cannabis NB. Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities: In support of the strategic pillars and in partnership with the Retail Store Manager, the responsibilities of a Team Lead of Cannabis NB, may include but are not limited to: Support the Store Manager in achieving store sales and operational goals Lead, motivate, coach and train team members to deliver exceptional customer service Drive a positive team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results Ensure adherence to loss prevention policies to support achieving store shrink goals Report, document, investigate and address near misses, customer injuries or workplace accidents in a timely manner Ensure compliance with corporate policies and provincial or federal laws Ensure in-store responsibility processes and practices are adhered to, and evaluated to ensure effectiveness Conduct quarterly and new hire performance reviews Report, document, investigate and address behavioral issues in a timely manner Develop, and maintain a high diverse, high-performance retail team through consistent selection, development, and motivation About You You are a natural leader with a strong ability to inspire and motivate others, you lead by example and bring out the best in your team. You enjoy coaching employees, developing talent within your organization and fostering a culture of accountability, support and positivity. You mentor team members by helping them build confidence, improve performance, and grow in their roles. You have a clear communication style that is respectful and empowering while also being able to deliver constructive feedback that drives results. You have a passion for delivering an exceptional in-store experience and ensuring that your team members have the training and skills required to help our customers select the best products for their needs.
